We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator / Estimator to join our team . This role is critical in supporting projects from tender, award through to completion, ensuring contractual compliance, accurate cost control, timely documentation, and efficient project support.

This position will suit someone with experience in the construction industry who understands the importance of contracts, variations, procurement, project timelines, and working closely with Project Managers, site teams, suppliers, and clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on contractual obligations, scope documents, and project requirements
  • Liaise with builders, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding contractual and project matters
  • Source material and subcontractor pricing for plumbing and construction projects
  • Prepare purchase orders and procurement of materials and services
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
  • Assess, price, and process project variations
  • Assist Project Managers with contract administration and project delivery support
  • Prepare progress claims
  • Prepare and submit project documentation
  • Assist the estimating team with take-offs, pricing, and tender support as required

 

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Contracts Administration, Estimating, or Project Administration role within plumbing, hydraulic, mechanical, or commercial construction
  • A sound understanding of construction contracts, scope of works, and project documentation
  • The ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, specifications, and construction plans
  • Experience reviewing and pricing variations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software would be highly regarded
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software systems
