Diesel Fitter – Darra, QLD

Salary: $55 per hour + Overtime
About the Role
We seek a skilled diesel fitter to join our client's dynamic team at Darra. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel generators and auxiliary equipment, ensuring peak performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and repair diesel generators and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of plant and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Assist with on-site installations as required.
- Provide on-call breakdown support when available.
About You
- Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
- Experience in power generation is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Qualifications & Licences
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
- Current manual driver’s licence.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Basic computer skills for service reporting.
- Unlimited working rights in Australia
