Diesel Fitter – Homebush, NSW

Salary: $55 per hour + Overtime

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled diesel fitter to join our client's dynamic team at Homebush. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel generators and auxiliary equipment, ensuring peak performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and repair diesel generators and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of plant and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
• Assist with on-site installations as required.
• Provide on-call breakdown support when available.

About You

• Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
• Experience in power generation is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Qualifications & Licences

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Basic computer skills for service reporting.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
