Part-Time Bookkeeper

Position Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

  • Location: Balcatta.
  • Salary: $38 – $40 p/h + Superannuation (depending on experience).
  • Reports To: Operation Manager / Directors.
  • Type: Permanent Part-Time.
  • Hours: 5 to 6 hours per day. Flexible on start time – Perfect for school hours if required.

Position Summary:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team with bookkeeping tasks. This role requires attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining general ledger entries and journals.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax and superannuation obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment queries.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team as required.
  • Participate in audits and assist with the preparation of audit documentation.
  • Assist the management team with HSC documentation and reporting
  • General administration duties as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role (preferred but not required for entry-level candidates).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
