Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Are you an experienced Plant Controller looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? We have an exciting role available for an Afternoon Shift Plant Controller to join a dynamic team. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers an immediate start for the right candidate.

About the Role:

The Plant Controller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and equipment utilisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Operate equipment safely and optimise plant performance.
  • Monitor plant conditions through HMI interface and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Adhere to company policies, ensuring zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI).
  • Implement safety procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
  • Report all incidents or near misses and take corrective actions.

Operations:

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets, accurately recording data.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and pre/post-operational checks.
  • Identify and resolve potential production issues to minimise downtime.
  • Assist with plant maintenance when required.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure correct processing of products.
  • Perform additional tasks within skill range as needed.

Leadership:

  • Identify and report potential plant improvements to the supervisor.
  • Oversee plant operations, collaborating with supervisors and other employees.

About You:

  • Experience operating PLC/HMI systems.
  • Emergency response and/or fire response training.
  • Experience with asbestos identification and handling (advantageous).
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
