About the Role

CrewSELECT are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the Sheet Metal Department within a well-established switchboard manufacturing business.

This is a leadership role overseeing a team of 8–10 staff across sheet metal fabrication operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for workflow coordination, staff supervision, quality control, production scheduling, machinery oversight, and maintaining efficient workshop operations.

This opportunity suits an experienced manufacturing professional with strong CNC machinery knowledge and previous leadership experience within a fabrication or switchboard manufacturing environment.

Hours & Pay

• $50–$60/hr + super
• Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
• Friday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
• 9-day fortnight

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations within the Sheet Metal Department
• Lead, train and support a team of 8–10 workshop staff
• Schedule and prioritise works to ensure production targets are met
• Maintain workflow efficiency and oversee quality control standards
• Previous experience operating and/or overseeing CNC sheet metal machinery including turret punch, CO2 laser and press brake. (Mandatory) 
• Coordinate machinery servicing and maintenance requirements
• Monitor workplace safety and maintain a clean, organised workshop environment
• Work closely with production and management teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience supervising within a sheet metal or manufacturing workshop
• Strong CNC machinery experience including:
– Turret Punch
– CO2 Laser
– Press Brake
• Experience within switchboard manufacturing highly regarded
• Powder coating experience advantageous
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage workflow and maintain production quality standards
• Commitment to workplace safety and team development
