In May 2021 we announced the opening of our second national office in Perth, WA. CrewSELECT has steadily grown our offering in the state over the last few years, and this new office means we can better serve our clients with a local presence.
Leading the WA Office is Caryl Hogan, an experienced recruitment manager with 20 years of industry experience in blue-collar, white-collar and executive recruitment. We sat down with Caryl to discuss her plans for WA and what she’s excited about for the future:
CS: What’s your vision for the WA office?
Caryl: Our vision for WA is to set ourselves apart by bringing truly specialised industry knowledge to our recruitment and staffing solutions. For our clients, we want them to know just how thorough we are in our processes and how hard we work to ensure they get the right person for their business. For our candidates, we want them to know how much we value them and support their trade and the contribution they make to our client’s businesses. We honestly think our workers are rockstars!
CS: What is CrewSELECT WA working to deliver the region?
Caryl: Our aim is to bring a genuine partnership to our client’s businesses and to the industries we service. Being an integrated partner with our clients gives us the opportunity to contribute to their success and provide the best opportunities for our candidates. CrewSELECT is here to deliver a difference in service and support.
CS: What do you look for in CrewSELECT candidates?
Caryl: Just like with our clients, we will work closely with our candidates to help them get what they want out of their careers. We are looking for authentic people who take pride in their work and want to make a real contribution to the businesses they work for. We love people who are open to new ideas and opportunities and see the value in working with professional consultants who really know their industry and their trade.
CS: What is different about CrewSELECT compared to other industry operators in labour hire?
Caryl: I think a real problem in our sector is that labour hire companies typically try to be everything to everyone all the time. CrewSELECT is special because we really immerse ourselves in the trades and industries we service. Specialising in electrical, mechanical and fabrication allows us to dive deeper into what industry operators need and provide the right solutions for our clients and our candidates.
CS: What are you most excited about for the future?
Caryl: I am most excited by the opportunity to build a team of industry specialists here in WA and disrupt the traditional broadsheet approach to recruitment. We are building a team of true specialists who understand the trades and industries we support and come up with creative solutions for our clients with amazing opportunities for our candidates. We’re building a better way of doing things at CrewSELECT – a true consultative approach and culture of support to everyone we work with.
